A 53-year-old man, David Ajayi, who allegedly defiled his neighbour’s eight-year-old daughter, was on Wednesday brought before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.
Ajayi, who resides at 5, Moshalashi St., Somolu, is facing a charge of defilement.
As we were told by the Police Prosecutor Clifford Ogu, the charged committed the offense on Aug. 15 at his living resident.
Ogu said the charged called the young lady into his room on the affection of sending her on an errand before contaminating her.
"The blamed close the entryway, contaminated her and requested that her not tell anyone.
"She, nonetheless, revealed to her mom when she felt torments in her private part," he told the court.
The offense repudiated Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Newsmen report that the offense conveys a punishment of life detainment.
