Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday night made a telephone call to Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra to commiserate with him and people of the State over the Ozubulu Church attack.
The Sunday early morning attack on St. Philip Catholic Church, Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area had killed 11 persons and 18 others harmed.
Buhari had before in an announcement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity Malam Garba Shehu denounced the assault, portraying the episode as "a horrifying unspeakable atrocity and unspeakable blasphemy".
In the announcement, the President said that "there was no legitimization at all to target Church admirers and slaughter them without blinking.''
He communicated his profound sensitivity for the groups of the casualties, the Church administration and the legislature of Anambra.
In any case, scarcely two hours after the arrival of the President's announcement on the episode, Shehu likewise affirmed that the President had a phone discussion with Gov. Obiano where he sympathized with him, groups of the casualties and the general population of the state.
He stated: "The President has quite recently got done with addressing Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, throughout which he sympathized with him, the starvations of the casualties and the residents of the state over the awful shooting episode toward the beginning of today.''
Review that Gov. Obiano was cited as saying that the Ozubulu killings was a consequence of a question between two children of the zone and pledged that each one of those behind the demonstration would be captured.
The Commissioner of Police accountable for Anambra, Mr Garba Umar, likewise in a meeting with newsmen in Awka on Sunday, uncovered that the police had propelled a manhunt on those behind the occurrence and gave a confirmation that everyone behind the demonstration would be conveyed to justice.(NAN)
