Kogi Police Command Arrested 9 Suspected Kidnapper And Rescue Some Victim




Kogi State Police Command said on Monday that it had captured nine suspected kidnappers and protected a casualty, Pastor Oliver Clement. 

Its Public Relations Officer, Mr William Aya, said in an announcement in Lokoja that the suspects were gathered together at their different forts in Okene, Ankpa, Lokoja and different parts of the state. 

He said that the pastor was hijacked on July 9 and was with his abductors until July 13, when he was saved. 

"The criminals took him to their fort at Inye in Ankpa region. We are glad to declare that he has rejoined with his family," Aya said. 

As indicated by him, one of the suspects, Uche Michael, was captured with slugs wounds at the General Hospital, Okpo, Olamaboro Local Government Area. 

Aya portrayed Michael as "an infamous equipped thief/hijacker, who has quite recently gotten away from police capture in Ondo State". 

He said that the suspect had gone to the doctor's facility for treatment when fortunes ran out on him. 

The cop said that one Habeeb Abdulkareem, an "outdated criminal", who had been on the police needed rundown for such a variety of years, was among those captured. The suspect was captured in Okene. 

He named different suspects captured for seizing and outfitted theft to incorporate Muazu Salem, Mutari Suleiman, Mohammed Abubakar, Ibrahim Ali, Abdulahi Idris, Amodu Isah and Gade Garba. 

"A portion of the suspects got away capture, yet insight officers have been itemized to track and capture them," he said. 

Aya said that the suspects were captured between May 25 and July 13, including that nine arranged rifles, including AK47, pump activity machine, twofold barrel weapons and guns were recouped from them. 

Likewise recuperated from them are live cartridges, cutlasses, blades, mallets and charms. 

Aya said that a portion of the suspects had put forth confession booth expression and would soon be charged to court.
