ABEOKUTA—Three persons have reportedly lost their lives in an accident involving a Honda Civic car and a white Nissan cabstar at Olorunsogo village along Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway.

The Public Relations Officer, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed the incident yesterday, said the accident occurred Saturday night. 

Akinbiyi said the Nissan cabstar with number plates KSF 906 XR was speeding and in the process lost control.He said the cabstar left its path for the other path, which prompted a head-on crash with the Honda auto with number plates GBE 495 AA.His words: "The cabstar was on top speed, lost control and crossed to the contrary path and hit the approaching vehicle."The mishap included eight individuals: six guys, two females. Three guys passed on in the mischance while two individuals supported different degrees of injuries."The TRACE representative said the bodies were taken to the Federal Medical Center, FMC, morgue in Abeokuta, and the harmed ones were admitted to the same hospital.Mr. Forgiving Oladele, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Ogun State, additionally affirmed the occurrence.
