Two people were feared dead while 14 others
were rescued alive by emergency respondents
on Monday from a collapsed building that
happened on Lagos Island.
A source at the scene of the incident said
that it happened around 7.30a.m., at Daddy
Alaja Street, Oke Arin on Lagos Island.The source said that the two dead people, a
man and a lady, whose personalities proved unable
be affirmed by the respondents, were pulled
out of the garbage from the three-story
building.
The source said that the building, lodging
numerous tenants, was additionally under redesign
when it smashed.
Three-story-building falls in Lagos
The source stated, "As at 1.30p.m., all the
save operations had been finished up. A few
of those safeguarded alive were dealt with at the
scene.
"Those with genuine ones were taken to the
General Hospital at Lagos Island," the source
told newsmen.
The source said that the safeguard group
included: men and authorities from Lagos State
Crisis Management Agency, LASEMA,
National Emergency Management Agency,
NEMA, Fire Service and the Police Force.
The representative of the Lagos State Police
Summon, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole,
affirmed the episode.
