Spokesperson for the family, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, told the Sun that they have been asking the Nigerian authorities to produce Nnamdi Kanu and their parents.
Nnamdi Kanu and his parents’ whereabouts have remained unknown since the October 2017 invasion of their Afara Ukwu home in Umuahia, Abia State by the military.
Prince Kanu said, “We’ve been asking the military to produce my brother, Nnamdi, and our parents because since after the raid on our home, we’ve not seen or communicated with any one of them yet. The military should provide them anywhere they are.
"As I talk with you, nobody would truly say if my folks are as yet alive on the grounds that we've not seen nor gotten notification from them as far back as the attack by the army."It is the expectation of each relative that they are as yet alive in light of the fact that they didn't do anything incorrectly to warrant their being slaughtered.
The expectation that they are as yet alive obviously is what is keeping different individuals from the family going till today."Each time we make the demand, the armed force would turn out to deny that they never captured the ruler and his better half. In any case, it ought to be noticed that the Nigerian Army has been known as individuals that tell lies so much; they are brimming with lies constantly.
When they abducted my sibling in 2015, they lied about it until the point when weight preceded they conceded and the DSS too."So, a similar thing has happened once more. A similar thing that occurred on account of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, has happened once more. Thus, their obligation is to unlawfully take individuals, keep them wherever suits them until the point that they discover what to do with that individual. In this way, I trust Nnamdi Kanu is as yet alive some place, yet at that point, we anticipate that them will deliver him whether dead or alive.
"The other time we drew the consideration of the worldwide group about the military intrusion of our home, the Chief of Army staff, Lt. General Buratai said that they never attacked our home until the Minister of Defense, Mansur Dan Ali said he approved the intrusion of our home which made it a little clearer to the more extensive world."The Afara Ukwu people group, my dad's subjects and his bureau, they miss him so much, the administrators of Isiama Afara Ukwu miss him as well.
Actually, the whole Ibeku and Abia State in general miss him so much."Particularly, Afara Ukwu individuals feel his nonappearance much since he is the central security officer of the group and you comprehend what it implies for him to have been far from his kingdom for this long, they miss his authority and they miss the association with them to such an extent."
