A 22- year-old man, Samuel David, who
allegedly defiled his neighbour’s daughter, on
Friday appeared before an Ikeja Chief
Magistrates’ Court.The accused, a driving force, who resides at 30,
Oremeji St., Bariga, a Lagos suburb, is being
attempted for defilement.
The Prosecutor, Sgt .Raphael Donny, told the
court that the offence turned into committed on may
12, on the house of the accused.
Donny said that the accused known as the girl, an
8-12 months -old, into his room, at the pretext of
sending her on an errand.
“The accused defiled the female, cleaned her up
and instructed her no longer to inform anyone.
“Days after, the lady turned into feeling uneasy and
can not urinate properly, hence she told her
mom what occurred and the accused was
apprehended,’’ he said.
The offence contravened phase 137 of the
crook regulation of Lagos state, 2011.
The accused, however, pleaded now not to be the charge.
The leader magistrate, Mrs Davies Abegunde,
admitted the accused to bail within the sum of N1
million, with two sureties in like sum.
Abegunde ordered the accused to pay
N100,000 into the leader Registrar ‘s account,
as a part of the bail situations.
She, consequently, adjourned the case until June
26, for prison advice from the workplace of the
nation Director of Public Prosecutions.
